Mcchip BMW 220-0

The cool thing about Mcchip-DKR tuning kits is that they always offer what it says on the tin. So when they tell you their new Mcchip BMW 220i kit is called MC320, you know it makes 320 horsepower, which is remarkable actually as this particular 2 series has only a 2.0 liter engine.

But that’s the DKR magic. They can extract big lumps of power from small lumps of engine. In fairness though, the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo engine in the Mcchip BMW 220i is a helluva four banger and has seemingly endless potential for upgrade. That’s why they offer the power upgrade in stages, so you can choose how many horses you need to feel happy.

The engine begins life with 184 horsepower and 270 ft-lbs torque, which isn’t bad by any standards. After a bit of fiddling, which include a level three software upgrade, downpipe replacement, larger intercooler, and a 200-cell sport catalytic convertor, that output jumps to 255 horsepower with 400 ft-lbs torque. If you are willing to spend more, Mcchip can keep fiddling and replace the turbos with higher performance ones, thus increasing the power to 320 horsepower and 435 ft-lbs torque. The full fat kit costs 6,400 EUR and delivers a top speed of 260 km/h.

This Mcchip BMW 220i is also equipped with a set of MBdesign LV-1 19-inch wheels and KW-coilover suspension Variant Three.

Mcchip-DKR-AMG-GT-0

Even with its standard 510 PS V8 engine the Mercedes AMG GT S is a complete beast, capable of devouring 0 to 100 in just over three seconds and reaching a top speed of 300 km/h. But you have more than that without spending too much effort. You just need to pop by Mcchip-DKR shop in Mechernich, Germany.

Mcchip-DKR take in your AMG GT and won’t unscrew anything off it except for the box that holds the ECU, or the engine’s electronic brain. Then it will take between four to six hours for them to flash the main chip on it and upload a new software which they have coded to unlock a new level of performance from the 4.0 liter bi-turbo V8. With that done, they bolt the ECU back on and voila, it’s done.

To get the best out of an ECU remap like this ideally you need a sport exhaust system and some high performance intakes. But the program by Mcchip-DKR is so good, it significantly improves the output of the engine without those items. The AMG GT S has 510 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque when it comes in the workshop. When it leaves, it is packing 595 horsepower and 775 Nm. That, you’ll agree, is quite remarkable considering the efficiency of the work.

Mcchip BMW M6-0

This is the kind of tuning work we like: stock looks, massively powerful engine! That is what Mcchip-DKR has done to this BMW M6 Convertible, boosting the output of its 4.4 liter bi-turbo engine from 560 PS and 680 Nm to a huge 634 PS with 809 Nm of peak torque.

The power gain is great, but the absolute coolest thing about Mcchip BMW M6 upgrade kit is that the gain is achieved through software optimization only. With only 4 to 5 hours of work the technicians manage to extract an extra 74 horsepower out of the engine. That is cleanest, most affordable, and quickest way of unlocking a new level of performance from your Bimmer.

Mcchip BMW M6-3

Not that the standard BMW M6 is a slouch – 560 is still a lot – but when you can have that much extra oomph in a few hours and at a reasonable cost, it’s an absolute no brainer, especially as the M6 is a bit of a heavyweight, and doubly so in the case of the convertible. The added power will definitely help with the acceleration and responsiveness.

Audi R8 GT3 LMS Recon-0

You remember this Audi R8 GT3 LMS, dubbed Recon MC8, as the R8 thoroughly upgraded by the boys at Mcchip-DKR. As if the previous modifications, which converted a normal R8 V10 into a GT3 LMS track car, weren’t enough, the car has now been given a cool urban camo wrap.

Well, we say it’s a camo wrap, but frankly it’s more like an art work, a post-modern painting that captures the tumultuous subconscious of the artist. Something like that. The bottom line is, it’s a pretty cool wrap, although we liked the car better with its naked carbon fiber panels on display. It looks more serious then.

Audi R8 GT3 LMS Recon MC8 is an engineering marvel in its own right. The base for this car was a 2014 Audi R8 V10 to which various tuners added various bits and bobs. The list of mods includes items such as LMS carbon fiber body panels, track-spec KW Competition 3 coilovers, supercharger, bespoke pulleys, intercooler, sport manifolds and filters, and Capristo exhaust system. No wonder then the engine makes 850 horsepower, 325 more than the standard.

PostHeaderIcon Mcchip-DKR Reveals 1000-hp Nissan GT-R

1000-hp Nissan GT-R-0

The R35 Nissan GT-R has been around for quite a while now and in that time it’s been subjected to all kinds of upgrade treatments, many of which boosted its power output to over 1,000 horsepower. The latest thousand-horse GT-R is built by the German firm Mcchip-DKR.

Naturally, in order to extract that kind of power out of the V6 bi-turbo engine of the Nissan GT-R the DKR boys had to go way beyond their routine, which is whipping the ECU out of the engine, uploading some new codes on it, and putting it back in again. Oh no. This bad boy needed a lot more work before it was ready.

The tuner has upgraded the turbochargers in this engine, installed a massive Alpha intercooler with bespoke pipes, replaced the air filters and ignition system, customized the cylinder heads, modified the exhaust and the transmission, and yes, upgraded the software as well. They also uprated the suspension, the speedometer, and the engine’s lubrication with specialized material.

It’s been a lot of work, but when you read the power figures they have achieved, you would agree it’s been worth the effort. This beast of a car now produces 1,121 horsepower and 1,099 Nm of torque. To give you an idea what that means in terms of raw performance, it takes this Nissan GT-R 4.2 seconds to go from 100 km/h to 200 km/h!

PostHeaderIcon 500-hp Mercedes E-Cabrio by Mcchip-DKR

Mercedes E-Cabrio-Mcchip-0

Mercedes E-Cabrio, the convertible version of the E-Class Coupe, is one of the most under-appreciated cars in its class. The thing has style, prestige, luxury and performance, although not every one agrees on the latter. That’s where Mcchip-DKR comes in.

The owner of this Mercedes E-Cabrio clearly wasn’t happy with the performance of his E500 V8 engine. That’s saying something, because the 4.7 liter bi turbo unit offers a factory standard 408 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque and those are more than decent figures. But at any rate, it didn’t deliver the kind of punch he wanted.

So he sent the car to Mcchip-DKR tuning center and they did to the engine what they do best: they’ve chipped the hell out of it. With the tuner’s tailored software now dictating how that V8 engine does things, the power output of this bad boy has gone up to a much more exciting 497 horsepower and 724 Nm of torque. We go ahead and call it a 500-hp car.

So those of you who always nagged that there isn’t an AMG version of Mercedes E-Cabrio have no an alternative. And it costs a lot less than the real thing would have if it existed.

Porsche 997 Turbo-Mcchip-0

German tuning guru Mcchip-DKR has applied their stage two power upgrade kit to a Porsche 997 Turbo with astounding results. The car arrived at their headquarters packing a standard 480 PS and 620 Nm of torque, and it left with 569 PS and 800 Nm.

Being a stage two program, this kit only include a modest software upgrade and sport exhaust system. The software is Mcchip’s own and it helps the flat-six turbocharged engine in this Porsche 997 Turbo to make better use of the custom exhaust system which comes from Cargraphic. If you want something meatier in terms of power, you need to order a higher stage upgrade with modified turbochargers and air intake system.

This program reminds us how sweet the Porsche 997 Turbo still is. This car is basically two models out of date now, what with the new 991.2 Turbo Facelift model now available. But if you don’t care about having the latest version, there is still plenty of life left in the 997 generation 911. Plenty life and plenty of fun to be had, especially now that the launch of newer models has reduced the price of these older examples.

Mcchip Mercedes ML63 AMG-0

In another one of their “Stage 4” tuning programs, the guys at Mcchip-DKR has upgraded the power output of an already powerful car to an insane level. The latest Mcchip Mercedes ML63 AMG stage 4 develops 768 horsepower.

Being an AMG product, Mcchip Mercedes ML63 AMG kit is codenamed mc800 by the tuner, hinting at the kind of power they were aiming for. Not that it really makes a difference. When you have more than 750 horsepower, an extra 40, 50, or 60 horses aren’t going to have that big of an effect on the performance, anyway. So we might as well go ahead and call this beat an 800 horsepower family SUV.

The stage 4 power upgrade kit for Mcchip Mercedes ML63 AMG includes modifications to the turbochargers of AMG’s 5.5 liter V8 engine, replaced with meatier ones, custom exhaust system featuring sports cats and downpipes, and of course, Mcchip’s bread and butter, software upgrade. As a result, the power has gone up from the standard 577 PS and 800 Nm of torque to a much more exciting 768 PS with 970 N of torque.

Due to the huge gain in power, the tuner has also thrown in a set of larger front brake discs wit high-performance calipers.

Mcchip VW Scirocco Stage 3-0

The owners of the 2.0 liter VW Scirocco will be chuffed to know that German tuner Mcchip-DKR is now offering an upgrade package for their car which boosts its output to 330 horsepower. Given that the standard car has only 211 hp, that ought to liven things up a bit.

It’s a very deep and substantial power kit Mcchip has come up with for the Scirocco’s 2.0 liter TSI four-banger, but the result is astonishing. Mcchip VW Scirocco gets K03 upgrade turbocharger complete with new piping, exhaust down pipes, sport cats, upgraded intercooler and, of course, a new ECU software that makes these things work in harmony and extract the most out of them.

It’s a heavy and rather expensive job and it takes up to three days to complete. But at the end of it all your VW Scirocco no longer 211 PS and 280 Nm of torque, but a much more exciting 330 PS with 460 Nm. These are dyno-verified figures, but Mcchip has not tested the effect of the extra oomph on the performance of the car yet. Rest assured, it is going to be profound. In fact, you best get some uprated brakes too, just to be on the safe side!

Mcchip Mercedes-AMG C63-0

The latest version of Mercedes-AMG C63, in both sedan and wagon variants, has been the subject of many tuning programs since its release. And one of the latest tuned versions is a wagon tweaked by Mccip-DKR, gaining extra power and more focused handling.

The first thing the guys at Mcchip did to this Mercedes-AMG C63 Wagon when it arrived at the workshop was crack open its ECU to get to the chip that controls the engine parameters. Then they hooked it up to their computers and uploaded on it a software they have developed themselves. The result of this operation was a jump in power output from the standard 510 PS and 700 Nm of torque to 590 PS with 795 Nm. And these are dyno-proven figures.

Next, the Mercedes-AMG C63 Wagon was put on a lift and its suspension components taken out. The tuner replaced the car’s standard dampers and springs with high-performance, track-focused KW parts, finished in the firm’s signature yellow and purple. They are adjustable too, but the way Mcchip has set them up for this particular car seem to be, judging by the ride height and stance of the car, to be the perfect level. Benefits, other than totally bitchin’ looks, include better road holding and sure-footed cornering.

Audi R8 V10-Mcchip-0

In one of their latest projects the chip tuning experts at Mcchip-DKR have upgraded the power output of a 2016 Audi R8 V10. Once again, these guys have achieved mind-blowing result through the use of nothing more than a few lines of code.

The 2016 Audi R8 V10 arrived at Mcchip’s workshop in standard configuration, packing a very healthy 540 horsepower and the same amount in torque power. Now, that’s a good amount of power by any standards, especially as the new R8 is lighter, stiffer and more focused than the previous generation. But more is always better, particularly when gaining more power is as easy as uploading a software onto the car.

That is basically what they do at DKR, but the software they upload is so sophisticated, it boosts the power output of the V10 engine to 633 horsepower and 582 Nm of torque. Some say chip tuning is not worth the money since the gain is small. Well, that is certainly not the case with Mcchip’s way of chip tuning. That is very nearly a 100 horsepower more than the standard. What’s more, they offer a similar package for the more powerful Audi R8 V10 Plus.

Ask any BMW X5M owner and not one of them will tell you they wished the car had more power. But in case some of them get bored with the standard 575 horsepower the standard engine offers, Mcchip-DKR has come up with an ECU kit that boosts that output up to 628 horsepower.

It is a huge gain considering the ingredients of the package are a few lines of codes and it only takes Mcchip technicians 4 to 6 hours to have it up and running on your BMW X5M. They even dyno test it for you and provide proof of their work. When they are done with the X5M, the 4.4 liter bi-turbo V8 in it will churn out 628 horsepower and 864 Nm of torque (standard 575 PS and 750 Nm).

Fortunately, BMW X5M comes with a good enough chassis along with high-performance brakes and suspension so it can handle the extra oomph with ease. The car features an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive and Dynamic Performance Control systems, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), double-wishbone front suspension, Dynamic Damper Control with electronically adjustable dampers, M Servotronic steering with individual adjustment, and 20-inch wheels.

PostHeaderIcon Mcchip Mercedes GLE 63 Packs 780 PS!

Mcchip Mercedes GLE 63-0

Mcchip-DKR is best known as a chip tuner with an affinity for small, turbocharged engines. But this year they have established themselves as an authority in big power tuning, thanks to projects like this, the Mcchip Mercedes GLE 63 S AMG which is upgraded to a massive 780 horsepower.

Starting with the standard GLE Coupe 63 S AMG with 585 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, the boys at Mcchip have worked their magic on this car and turned it into one of the most powerful utility vehicles anywhere in the world right now. Performance figures have not been announced, but an extra 200 horsepower will have no doubt have a profound effect on the way the car handles itself.

Mcchip Mercedes GLE 63 is treated to a Stage 4 “mc800” upgrade program which includes revised and improved turbochargers, bespoke exhaust system with sport cats and downpipes, and of course, Mcchip’s bread and butter which is a tailored software to make it possible for the engine to make the most of those new components. The result is a mind-boggling 780 horsepower and 1,050 Nm of torque.

Unlike most other Mcchip treatments which take only a few hours to install, the tuner needs six days for this one as the engine needs to be extracted from the vehicle for turbo and exhaust upgrades.

Mcchip-DKR Golf R-0

Volkswagen might be run by a bunch of cheating bastards, but there is no denying those people are experts at making brilliant hot hatchbacks. Take the Golf R VII, for instance. It’s a 2.0 liter family car with 300 PS factory standard horsepower.

That is more than enough for a car like this and perfectly satisfactory for having a good time behind the wheel. But there are those who always want more, and for them Mcchip-DKR has come up with a stage 3 upgrade package that increases the output of Golf R to nearly 400 horsepower. And that’s still from a 2.0 liter!

In order to achieve that kind of oomph, Mcchip goes to town on that TFSI engine, replacing the turbocharger with a higher performance unit and installing a bespoke downpipe for the sport exhaust system. Naturally, the car also gets a new engine management software which is Mcchip’s main speciality.

The result of these changes is that this blue Golf R now offers its driver 392 PS and 472 Nm of torque instead of the standard 300 PS and 380 Nm of torque. That will undoubtedly have a profound effect on the performance, although Mcchip has not tested it yet.

The latest BMW 2 Series to go through Mcchip-DKR workshop is a black 220i coupe. It’s been given a full mc360 treatment, and there’s a clue as to the kind of horsepower you can expect from the tiny little Mcchip BMW 220i. Think of it as the 1M’s illegitimate love child!

Mcchip BMW 220i came with a 326 hp six-cylinder in-line engine and left with 360 horsepower which is a decent amount of upgrade through electronics alone. The standard car sprints from 0 to 100 km/h / 62 mph in 7.0 seconds on the way to a top speed of 235 km/h / 146 mph, so you can expect the tuned version to be perceptibly quicker and more responsive as well.

But that is not all. Mcchip is planning a major upgrade for the 2.0 liter engine in the 220i, a program which includes upgraded turbocharger, downpipes, sport Kat 200cspi, intercooler and further software optimization. With those bits installed, Mcchip BMW 220i could potentially become as powerful as an M4.

The unassuming coupe also gets a chassis upgrade with KW Coilover Variant 3 suspension and a set of mbDESIGN LV-1 wheels in size 8,5 x 19 inch with Michelin pilot Super Sport tires. It’s quite a recipe they have devised for the 220i. All it needs after all this is a nice new design — maybe a cool wrap or something.

Mcchip Audi RS4-580-0

In one of their latest full-fat power upgrade projects the boys at Mcchip-DKR tuning center took an Audi RS4 B8 and after only five hours turned it into an RS6 Slayer. Mcchip Audi RS4 is capable of developing 580 horsepower, hence the name “mc850”.

Of course, this project is not the usual Mccihp-DKR treat in which they yank out a car’s ECU, modify its chips, and then put it back in again, increasing the output by 20 or 30 horsepower. This one is a complete program involving a new exhaust system, upgraded cooling system, and above all, a big, meaty supercharger.

The 4.2 FSI V8 engine in Mcchip Audi RS4 is equipped with a Whipple Kompressor (supercharger) kit which includes a lot of accessories, from specials pulleys and belts to its own radiator. This bad boy is complemented with stainless steel sport exhaust system from Capristo and, of course, Mcchip’s own software.

The end result of these modifications is a serious gain, boosting the output from 580 horsepower with 555 Nm of torque. That is about as much power as you get from an Audi RS6, in a car that is smaller and lighter. So it ought to make things interesting performance-wise.

Mcchip Mercedes C63 AMG S-0

After Brabus and Carlsson, it is not Mcchip-DKR’s turn to upgrade the new Mercedes C63 AMG sedan, the S model. And as was the case with the other two, Mcchip Mercedes C63 AMG is boosted to 600 horsepower. It seems that is the sweet spot for thew new 4.0 liter bi-turbo AMG V8 engine.

In standard from, that motor churns out 470 horsepower. The S model AMGs get a tweaked version with 510 horsepower. Upgraded models like the Mcchip Mercedes C63 AMG get that up to 600 horsepower (597 PS in this case, to be more precise). We’re sure the engine has more potential than that, but who needs more than 600 horses in a compact sports sedan?

What’s more, the 600 upgrade appears to be fairly easy and straight forward. Mcchip Mercedes C63 AMG S takes only an hour and a few lines of code to boost the power output from 510 PS and 700 Nm to 597 PS and 819 Nm. Where Mcchip’s offering lacks behind the other tuned C63s is the styling department. As you know, these guys don’t do visual modifications very often.

Not that C63 AMG S needs any visual upgrade in the first place. The handsome Merc comes with an AMG body kit already installed, and it’s a kit garnished with carbon fiber aero parts and mirror caps, as well as big black AMG wheels. Anything more than this would be overkill.
