PostHeaderIcon 2019 Jeep Cherokee Gets Moparized in Europe

The Cherokee has almost completed its Eurofication in terms of design. The last part is for Chrysler’s parts arm Mopar to come up with some handy accessories for it, which they have now done. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee by Mopar is about as European as an American SUV can get.

And… it’s still not as good as a genuine Euro SUV. 2019 Jeep Cherokee is a fine product, no doubt about it. But in a world where stuff like the Range Rover Evoque and Mercedes GLC exist, why would you want to settle for a lesser thing? In any case, the Mopar collection of part for the new Cherok include some cool items.

Let’s begin with the appearance where you can opt for bonnet decal, black mirror caps, the handy boot tray and the all-weather rubber floor mats and rock rails. There is also 17″ and 18″ alloy wheels and removable roof bars. Then we have the urban pack for those who are not into offroading. This one offers chrome accessories including mirror caps, handles and kick plate and chrome hub caps with the Mopar logo. The roof bars or the tow hook are able to transport bicycles, canoes, skis and snowboards, as well as a wide range of luggage roof boxes.

Also available for the Moparized 2019 Jeep Cherokee is the Mopar Connect services. It has to do with safety and security and features  the Uconnect LIVE services with roadside assistance and car location. The latter is handy for crowded car partks.

PostHeaderIcon Say Hello to VinFast SUV & Sedan from Vietnam

You probably don’t remember, but a few months ago a Vietnamese car maker emerged out of nowhere and announced two new models. Turns out they were dead serious, and they have now revealed the first two products. One is called the VinFast SUV and it will be complemented later with a VinFast Sedan.

Set for global debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, the VinFast SUV is a unique looking car with powerful lines. We have to be honest the first time we looked at this thing we thought it was a Maserati Levante. The second time, when we looked at it closer and registered that V-shaped grille, we thought it was an Alfa Roe mo Stelvio. Only on the third go it registered with us that the VinFast is a different car altogether. We don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing.

The chrome V emblem at the centre of the grille is the signature dish of all VinFast cars. That, and all the confident, clean lines that are the work of design Giant Italdesign. The VinFast Sedan has a slight touch of Lincoln we reckon, but it’s nice and unique and luxurious. These two are excellent ‘first cars’ for the Vietnamese firm to mark its first global event with. But it remains to be seen how credible is the company’s name. I mean, when you call something VinFAST, they ought to be fast cars, right?

“The strong, distinguishable design, enhanced by elegant lines and refined details, gives our cars several distinctive highlights,” explains David Lyon, Director of Design at VinFast. “First and foremost, these emanate around the V logo in the grille which references the country of Vietnam, as well as the Vingroup and VinFast brands. In conjunction with Pininfarina, we have carefully sculptured each body line to express the natural beauty of Vietnam and the warm-hearted and dynamic characteristics of its people through a modern and world-class design language.”

PostHeaderIcon Vietnam to Enter the Auto World with VinFast Sedan & SUV

The success of the Chinese at becoming the world’s most powerful force in the auto industry has inspired other Asian countries with an industrious people to try their hand at this game. Vietnam is the next in line, and they are bringing to the Paris Auto Show two “world class” cars called VinFast Sedan and VinFast SUV.

Before you dismiss these cars because they are called VinFast, you should know that both the sedan and the SUV have been developed by Pininfarina. The reason for that is because they don’t have the technology in Vietnam to do it themselves. But credit where it’s due, they could have gone with a cheap company to save money, but they picked one of the world’s top automotive firms. In fact, the only thing Vietnamese about the VinFast cars, according to the company, seems to be the spirit. The design in Italian and the technology German.

Then there is the preview pictures you see here, depicting a sedan and a SUV that are no too bad to look at. So maybe VinFast is on to something, even though their press release sounds like the wish list of hundreds of other auto start ups that have come and gone. For instance, they are already talking about nabbing top executives from top companies, partnering up with premium brands, and even export to foreign markets. All of that sounds to us like they are getting a little ahead of themselves. But hey, best of luck fellas!

“We have the resources, scalability and commitment to become a significant new player in the global automotive industry,” comments James DeLuca, CEO of VinFast Trading and Production LLC. “We are immensely proud to be the first volume automotive manufacturer in Vietnam, and the first to participate in a major international motor show. We look forward to introducing our new brand and two new models in Paris. Our show stand will also prominently feature the best of Vietnam, demonstrating the passion and tenacity that we will bring to the global automotive stage.”

PostHeaderIcon Jeremy Clarkson Asks Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

Though some bigheads at the BBC admitted later on that firing Jeremy Clarkson was a mistake, chances of the iconic presenter ever going back to the broadcasting giant are pretty slim. In fact, Jezza has hooked up with their rival, ITV, for a gig that seems to be right up his alley. Clarkson is the new presenter of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

In spite of what the first trailer for the new series, which starts in May, shows, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire has not suddenly become a quiz show about cars. And Clarkson didn’t get the job because of unique car reviewing capabilities. It was the man’s worldly knowledge and quick wit. Again, this is not what you get watching the first trailer. You know what, just watch for yourself:

OK, we see here Jeremy Clarkson sliding about in an Aston Martin DB11 before making a characteristically understated entrance into the studio. But that’s not what the show is about. Jezza is the right choice to present Who Wants to Be a Millionaire because, despite the appearances, he is a very knowledgeable man. It wasn’t his drifting that made him a great presenter at Top Gear and later at the Grand Tour. It was his speeches, rants, and soliloquies that made the man a living legend. And that’s the reason why Matt LeBlanc is never going to fill his shoes over at TG. Joey is not as bright as good old Jezza.

At any rate, it is great to see Clarkson back on British telly, even if it’s not on a motoring show.

PostHeaderIcon Three Easy Upgrades for the Regular Car Owner

You’re not a car expert, and you’re far from an enthusiast. All you want is to have your own running vehicle that will get you to where you want to go. But you wouldn’t be opposed to having a better ride.

Or you’re certainly a huge car fan, and you do want to upgrade your car. But you don’t have enough cash to fund all the improvements you want.

If you’re one of those two kinds of car owners, then you should know that you can get the driving experience you want without turning into an expert or breaking the bank. The right upgrades can significantly improve your driving experience without costing you too much.

Here are three car ways to upgrade your car and noticeably improve its performance.

Install High-Quality Tires

Tires are key parts of your car. When they’re loose, worn, or not properly inflated, they will significantly affect your car’s performance, not to mention, increase your risk of getting into a vehicular accident.

That’s why when thinking of upgrades, your car tires should be number one on your list. First off, before you change your current tires, you have to check whether they’re still in good condition or not. As you drive your car, your tire tread gradually wears, giving you bald tires. Bald tires are dangerous, especially on rainy or snowy days.

Tire tread helps water flow through the tires, helping it maintain contact to the road. On snowy days, the tread gives your tires better hold on the snow-covered road. Worn tires are also more prone to puncture and are more difficult to handle.

When upgrading your tires, considers getting ones with higher quality. They may cost you a few extra dollars, but they will give your greater durability, handling, drag, comfort, and generally, a better driving experience.

Replace Your Spark Plugs

Tiny but incredibly important, spark plugs help your car get started and running efficiently. Spark plugs don’t need to be replaced often. But when they wear, they need to be changed immediately.

Old spark plugs can affect the overall performance of your car. You’ll have a harder time starting your vehicle. Your engine will consume more fuel. It will misfire, causing your car to start slow, halt, jerk, or run roughly.

Once you need to change your spark plugs, consider the options you have based on the material your spark plug uses (e.g., platinum, iridium, and copper). Consult your owner’s manual first before you buy anything.

Take Care of Your Battery

As far as maintenance goes, your battery is relatively low-key. You need to check it regularly for leaking or buildups. You also have to maintain an updated record of when you last changed your battery. Your battery is prone to breaking down at the most inconvenient times, so it’s best to keep an extra in your trunk.

Dramatic changes in the weather can also affect your battery’s performance. If there’s some extra space where your battery is placed, use an insulation blanket to protect it from fluctuating temperatures. It will keep your battery from freezing in the winter and overheating in the summer.

Final Thoughts

Unlike what you see on television, car upgrades don’t always mean a complete overhaul of your engine or getting a new body paint. They can just be regular changes that can noticeably improve your car’s performance.

Upgrading tires, replacing spark plugs, and taking care of your battery can go a long way in improving your driving experience and making your car last longer.

When you do have the extra bucks, consider making major changes, like outfitting your vehicle with carbon fiber license plate frames, casing, or covers. Carbon fiber is lighter than steel but just as strong and durable, which helps your car consume less oil.

However, whether you do some upgrades or not, one thing is for sure, regular maintenance will save you from expensive car repairs and save your automobile from meeting an untimely end.

PostHeaderIcon Things you didn’t know about SUVs

SUVs have always had an important place in the market. As much as we hate to agree, we’d chose an SUV over any other Sports car. There is a variety of sizes from a smaller one to a large one. The high ground clearance makes it sit higher than the other cars in the market, but you accelerate into that gentle night. It’s suggested not to test a SUVs highest speed limit.

Though we have exceptions like Range Rover and Bentley, which are designed to speed. These are one of the most desired cars and you can also buy used SUVs. There are so many online sites which make deals on used cars. Are you in Colorado? Want to look out for used SUV in Pueblo CO? Here are a few things you must know before you decide on buying a SUV.

SUVs take longer distance to stop

These are heavy weight vehicles and to maintain the momentum at a higher speed is a tough task. The breaks need to work a little more to maintain the momentum and hence needs a little longer to stop. It’s a tough task top bring a SUV at a sudden halt, precisely why you are suggested to drive slowly in traffic or in highways.

They aren’t your everywhere Cars

You might not know this but SUVs are not your everywhere cars. They are called sports utility vehicles but aren’t designed for terrains. There are so many factors like 4X4, locks, approach angles and tyres that decide the competence of an SUV. SUVs might seem to have a similar body style but differ in competence and hence make sure your SUV can go the distance before taking it to different terrains.

SUVs ought to be comfortable

The most importance motive behind a SUV is comfort. They are equipped with high seating posture and longer travel suspension which makes it an ideal travel car. People with big families tend to be inclined towards SUVs.

Takes time to change direction

There is thing with SUV, the thing that makes it special like its size and structure also stops it from being able to change directions easily. The centre of gravity is at a higher position due to a taller design which makes it a slow handler. Trying to change lanes or directions in a higher speed might lead to loss of control and it’s highly advisable to be very careful with a SUV in narrow lanes or city traffic.

Dual Clutch

Yeah you heard me right. SUVs have a dual clutch automatic transmission which offers a smooth transition while gear changes. This make it comfortable and fun ti drive. The DCAT is an expensive technology and not a lot of cars use it.

I’m sure you didn’t know about these factors and might have a complete new outlook on SUVs. You can still go off-roading in your SUV, just make sure that it’s designed according to your choice of terrain.’

5 Reasons it is Better to Schedule Maintenance with Your Dealer

Keeping your car in good shape is highly important. It’s what helps ensure that your car is always roadworthy and won’t let you down when it really matters. With this in mind it makes complete sense to have your car serviced regularly. Where should you go for your service though? Does it make more sense to go to an independent garage or should you go to a dealer?

The Cost

To get your car serviced there is actually very little in the cost between going to a smaller garage and taking your car to a dealer. There is a difference of just 6% between the two. This begs the question, is it worth taking risks with your car? If you go to a dealer you know that the service you will get is definitely to the standards expected by the manufacturer. Is a 6% saving really worth taking a risk with your car.

Expertise

The mechanics that work in a dealership deal with just that make of car. They know all of the little idiosyncrasies that each particular model may possess and they can ensure that your car will get better treatment than it would anywhere else. It’s not just that the mechanics spend all of their time working on cars with the same make. They also tend to be factory certified so they have a higher qualification related directly to the make of car that you drive. This will ensure that your car is in the safest of hands.

Better Quality Parts

This one speaks for itself. When you get your cars serviced or repaired at the dealership, the parts that are put into your car are the absolute best quality. They’re the manufacturer’s recommended parts so you can rest easy that there will be no third party parts or any inferior products put into your car.

Superior Facilities

When you take your car to a dealer, the facilities that they have on offer are always top notch. It’s not just that their facilities are better than an independent garage, it’s that the facilities are tailored to deal with cars like yours. This instantly means that taking your car to a dealer means your car will be getting the absolute best treatment.

Better Customer Service

As dealerships tend to be directly answerable to the manufacturer of the car they tend to focus on quality customer service a lot more than other garages. This means that if you take your car to a dealer you know that you will be getting high quality customer service while it is getting fixed. This is something that is overlooked a lot in the motor trade, so if being treated perfectly is important to you, you should be taking your car to the dealer.

No matter what car you have you know that it will be in great hands if you take it to the dealer. Make sure that you look after your car and give it the kind of treatment that it deserves. Visit your dealer today.

PostHeaderIcon 2017 L.A. Auto Show Preview: New Mazda6, Lexus RXL, Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

With less than two weeks to go until this year’s Edition of Los Angeles Auto Show, now an event on par with Detroit’s NAIAS, car makers have started teasing us with the new model they’ll be unveiling there. 2017 L.A. Auto Show will see the debut of 2018MY Mazda6, a long version of the Lexus RX, and the U.S. premiere of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, among other things. What’s more, the new 2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography makes its global premiere at the show.

The 2018 Mazda6 comes to L.A. featuring many upgrades, chiefly in terms of design details and technology. The L.A.-bound Mazda6 is not a redesign but an update, but even so, it introduces some some truly delightful new options for the popular sedan. It now gets the SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter gasoline engine with cylinder deactivation, new high-grade interior with Japanese Sen Wood, and a wider range of advanced i-ACTIVSENSE safety technologies including Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) and 360 degree view monitor.

SUV fans will like the new Long versions of the Lexus RX. The 2018 RX 350L and 450hL hybrid. The best-selling model now offers more space and more seats so that it may appeal to larger families. But if these families are well-off they are going to skip the RXL and go straight for the new Range Rover SVAutobiography. This is the range-topping version of the 2018 model, featuring exclusive exterior and interior appointments.

The crossover crowd will be happy with the appearance of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, making its U.S. debut at the 201 L.A. Auto Show. The highly acclaimed Japanese high-rider brings with it a bit of fresh air to this stuffed market where there is a lot of different models to choose from, but all of them look and feel the same. The Mitsu looks tough and with the company’s rally know-how infused in its drivetrain it is also more than capable to take on the rivals.

PostHeaderIcon U.S. Auto Sales Rise for the First Time in 2017

The American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA) released today September the figures for the global nameplate car industry. Brands sold by America’s 9,600 worldwide nameplate establishments represented the greater part, 55.7%, of every single new vehicle sold in the United States in September.

AutoData Corp. reports that the seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) for September took off to 18.57 million units – the most elevated since July 2015 – versus 17.72 million units per year back and only 16.14 million units a month ago. Unadjusted for business days, offers of all brands were up 6.1 percent from last September, denoting the principal ascend in month-over-month deals for the year. Deals were still down 1.8 percent year-to-date. Industrywide, 1,523,867 vehicles were sold in September contrasted with 1,483,330 sold in August and 1,435,693 units sold a year back.

September’s sales exceeded even some of the industry’s most optimistic expectations. (…) A combination of post-hurricane vehicle replacement and excellent incentives kept dealerships busy last month. We have every reason to feel positive heading into the final quarter of 2017.

said AIADA President Cody Lusk.

Worldwide brands outflanked their household partners in September with deals up 7.6 percent from a year back and down only 0.4 for the year-to-date. Brands like Honda (up 7.4 percent from last September), Toyota (up 16.9 percent), and Volkswagen (up 33.2 percent) lead the charge. Most deals changes were driven by light trucks, which rose 12.4 percent as a section from last September, while autos kept on slacking, down 3.3 percent from a year prior.

Universal vehicle deals in the U.S. totaled 848,906 in September, up from 822,952 vehicles in August and 828,772 vehicles in July. Asian brands possessed 46.5 percent of the September auto advertise, up marginally from 46.3 percent in August. In general, Asian nameplate merchants sold 708,049 vehicles in September, a seven percent change from September 2016.

European brands sold 140,857 vehicles in September, up from 136,128 vehicles in August and 126,157 vehicles in July. European brands held 9.2 percent of the September U.S. auto advertise, the same as August 2017 and up from 8.9 percent in September 2016. General deals for these brands were up a noteworthy 10.6 percent from last September.

PostHeaderIcon Selecting the Right Commercial Vehicle for Your Business

Trying to use your personal vehicle to help your run a business is going to cause complications when it comes time to file taxes. Additionally, you’ll end up putting a lot of unnecessary wear and tear on your personal car if you allow employees to drive it during work hours. Most importantly, professional business owners really need to buy separate vehicles to be used solely for commercial purposes in order to get the maximum benefits and advantages available to them.

If you run a business that is involved in transportation, heavy equipment, construction, or contracting, try a used Toyota Hilux which will enable you to easily transport things. Commercial vehicles like the Toyota Hilux can be utilized to move large numbers of workers and tools to fixed or variable work sites. Note whether you will need a handful of commercial cars to run your business like a champ or if you are looking to build an entire fleet.

What Industry Are You In?

If you’re just running a company where you sit around in an office all day long, you may not need a fleet of commercial vehicles. The type of vehicles that you purchase for your business should match up with the industry that you operate in. For instance, residential cleaners may only need compact cars to transport workers and cleaning supplies. If you run a construction company then large vans, trucks, and construction trailers may be needed to get to work sites and transport equipment.

Who Will Be Driving Your Business Vehicles?

Perhaps you have a business that employs professional drivers who drop off deliveries to businesses and consumers. If this is so, you’re not only going to need a whole lot of commercial trucks and cars; you’re also required to have a company or team of workers who will maintain your vehicles. Then again, there are also business owners who are pretty good at driving, fixing, and maintaining their own commercial fleets. Look at the total number of drivers you expect to be driving your commercial vehicles and then you can easily find out whether you need a few extra cars or if you’re going to need an entire parking lot to store your vehicles.

Advantages of Buying New Versus Used Commercial Cars

A big choice that business owners need to contend with when buying commercial vehicles is choosing between buying new and used. Of course, used commercial vehicles are more affordable, and thus they can potentially acquire a larger fleet in less time. Then again, more time will need to be dedicated to caring for older model commercial vehicles that have been driven by other companies in the past.

Consider what you’re going to be doing with your commercial vehicles and it will be easy to determine whether you should buy new or certified used automobiles.

Your company will benefit from the use of a commercial passenger van if you are in the business of driving customers around. A commercial pickup truck would be most useful for a business owner who does home renovations and repairs. Larger commercial trucks are often used by companies who handle residential relocations and transport furniture. Whatever you choose, get a commercial vehicle that fits your company’s needs.

PostHeaderIcon Jeremy Clarkson Hospitalized, Out of Action for a While

Well, looks like James May is the currently the only intact member of The Grand Tour motoring show, which is gearing up for its second season to be aired this fall. After Richard Hammond took out his own knee in a huge Rimac crash, now Jeremy Clarkson is in hospital and, according to his own words, out of action for quite some time.

Clarkson’s route to hospital wasn’t as exciting as Hammond’s. Jezaa was apparently on holiday with his family in Majorca when he came down a pretty bad case of pneumonia. He quickly took to social media to ensure people he is not in that bad a way and that he has all the IV and wheelchair and sunshine he needs to recover.

Jeremy himself used to say often, when asked how long the trio would continue doing the shows they do, that eventually, when they got so old that they started dribbling and fell over because of a breeze, that would be the time to call it a day. Now, we did some investigating and we are glad to report that at no time during this whole episode did Jeremy Clarkson dribble. And neither did Hammond after his crash. And as for James May, well, he is the sturdiest of the lot. So don’t worry, this may be the start of the end, but it is not quite the end yet.

The only functioning member of the Grand Tour team right now. God help us.

PostHeaderIcon Official: Borgward BX5 Plug-In Hybrid Crossover

borgward-bx5-top

The old German brand Borgward, revived a couple of years ago with the help of Chinese investors, has come up with an ambitious new crossover SUV. The Borgward BX5 Plug-In Hybrid is one of the first cars in this segment to get an advanced powertrain like this.

So the name and the technology are German, but the looks are distinctively Chinese, which to be frank could put off customers everywhere but Chine itself. That’s a problem because they are pitching Borgward BX5 as a global model, and it does have interesting specs. But the design is less than savory.

Have a close look at it in the launch film below followed by official pictures:

As for the technical specs, Borgward BX5 Plug-In Hybrid measures 4.48 metres in length and with a wheelbase of 2.68 metres, it seats five adults, and has a plug-in hybrid drive with internal-combustion engine and electric motor. The drive system is an electronically controlled, permanent all-wheel drive, handling a total of 258 horsepower (143 + 115). The BX5 is a near-production prototype at the moment, so these figures are preliminary figures, but they are are looking good.

PostHeaderIcon What are Gas Struts?

gas-struts

Although not a major component of an automobile, the gas struts are still incredibly important. Like many things in life, you only notice them when they are not working properly, so it is worthwhile being are aware of what they are and what to do when they stop working.

Their Purpose

Gas struts serve many different purposes and can be used for anything where you need to control the speed of movement. For automobiles, this is lifting/closing the tailgate or boot. We are able to lift this heavy piece of metal with very little force thanks to these struts, plus they can then lock in place so that you can easily access the boot area. They then also control the force with which the boot shuts, stopping any damage from occurring to the car.

How They Work

So, what are gas struts exactly? Essentially, it is a piston rod which slides in and out of a pressurized tube. The rod is attached to the piston so that the piston is controlled by the energy applied to the rod, which is where force will be applied to the spring. The piston pushes gas in the strut, which causes it to compress and holes in the piston allow gas to flow either side. The piston is contained in a housing tube, which is filled with compressed gas and completely sealed to prevent any loss of gas.

One way of looking at their design is to compare them to a bicycle pump. Gas is compressed by forcing the piston rod and piston into the cylinder, but the key difference is that a gas strut is completely sealed so there is no escape. This creates gas pressure (up to 170 times normal atmosphere pressure), which becomes stored energy.

Replacing Gas Struts

Gas struts are a superb way to lift and support different components, but they do have a lifespan. Usually, you will encounter a very gradual loss of gas pressure – this results in them being unable to support the weight. They can be re-gassed, but many motorists find it easier and more reliable to replace the struts. You can find the right struts for your particular vehicle at suppliers, like SGS. Many suppliers also provide simple to follow fitting instructions.

Gas struts are fantastic devices that often go unnoticed until they are not working properly. The next time you need to get something out the back of your car, take a moment to think about just how useful the struts are and how difficult it would be to access your boot without them.

PostHeaderIcon Clarkson, Hammond and May Spotted in a Bigfoot Mercedes!

clarkson-mercedes-surey

So while the new Top Gear crew is sweating out of their heads putting together the first episodes for their debut season filming in America and South Africa, the old TG boys – Clarkson, Hammond and May – seem to be having a lot of fun with their new Amazon show. Recently they were spotted sailing in Barbados and now they were caught driving around Surrey in a custom bigfoot Mercedes SLC.

So basically they are doing what they used to do on the previous show, only more of it as Amazon is an overall less restricted organization than the BBC. It is not likely they run of money on this show, no matter what they get up to. What’s particularly amazing is that Clarkson, Hammond and May do not seem to be even making an effort with the new program. It just looks like a big vacation for them, as opposed to what the new Top Gear team is going through, which looks like a drag even in the pictures.

So whatever Jezza, Slow, and Hamster are cooking, it’s going to be like the good old days with three overgrown children falling about and catching fire a lot. We know so far they are going to have a three-way with three hyper cars, do something with in the water in Barbados, and most likely have an off-road challenge of some kind, at least if this modified Mercedes SL convertible with its jacked-up ride height and massive monster truck wheels is any indication. Come to think of it, Clarkson getting canned was the best thing that could happen to him.

PostHeaderIcon The Geneva Car Show – What’s Hot and New for 2016

geneva-car-show-2016

The changing designs and creations at the auto houses can be likened to the great fashion houses of the world, and really do attract the same bling and media attention of the world’s press. With much at stake in the auto industry, particularly in times of economic downturn, each of the players if jostling for position on the cat walk or centre stage.

With great expectations, and many a celebrity set to be sitting in the driving seats of the latest and newest cars off the production line, what can we expect to see this year in Geneva?

Whilst details of the unveilings are kept under wraps until the official launch day, the manufacturers have set the drip feeding of information into motion. The promises of everything from concept cars, drawings and visualisations, to world premieres, is set to keep the cameras filming and the high rollers walking around in awe.

What is promised is the unveiling of several world debuts. Volvo is planning to show off its new V90 estate car, the sister of the recently revealed S90. The leaked pictures look very promising, but let’s see how she looks at the debut in March.

For those that love to imagine luxury and performance at its best, perhaps the unveiling of Maserati’s all-wheel drive SUV, the Levante, will get your motor running. The wraps have been kept firmly on this Italian creation, with many rumours about the power plant, the interior and other design elements. We will have to wait and see what the show reveals. The luxury car market is important for this iconic brand, so there will be sure to be lots of bling and dazzle at this event for Maserati.

Speaking of the luxury car market, the iconic brand that has for decades aided the infamous secret agent 007, Aston Martin, is set to debut the new DB11. This new luxury car will be powered by a new twin-turbo 5.2-litre V12. Enough horsepower to ease away from anyone tailing you on the open roads!

For those who can only dream and imagine about owning your very own iconic brand car, the new offering from Spanish car manufacturer SEAT, will bring you back down to terra firma.

It is an interesting new offering from SEAT. With the move away from a cross over, we see SEAT really entering the SUV market to set the production lines in Barcelona to capacity. With big plans for expansion, a lot of thought has been invested into the overall package from SEAT. The new Ateca is a brave move, and will cater to those with a smaller budget, looking for a fun filled SUV.

Skoda will also be unveiling its’ concept 7 seater SUV in Geneva, with plans to launch the off roader in early 2017. They are obviously looking to take their own space in the lucrative SUV market, so the unveil is going to be an important bid from the Skoda team and its engineers.

With so many fresh and new car offerings coming onto the market, there is bound to be a surplus of discounted and second hand cars coming onto an online car market near you.

Check out some of latest car offerings with the convenience of the internet. While it might mean you have to keep dreaming about that Maserati or Aston Martin V12, you can start your dreams on a smaller scale, by picking up a car a location near you.

PostHeaderIcon Full Cast Revealed for the New Top Gear

New Top Gear Cast

Following last week’s announcement regarding the addition of Matt LeBlanc to the the new Top Gear as co-host, the BBC has now revealed the full cast of presenters for the show. It’s a pretty diverse crew including Chris Evans, Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz,  and Rory Reid.

Now, this is Top Gear a team BBC could be happy with. It includes a person of color and a woman, plus various nationalities including American, British, German, even Pakistani (if what we’ve heard about Chris Harris being a Pakistani Brit is true).

This colorful group of presenters is led by Chris Evans who is the most famous of the bunch in the UK, while Matt LeBlanc will be in charge of adding a bit of sex appeal to the show and attract foreign viewers. Meanwhile Chris Harris and Sabine Schmitz will do most of the driving and sliding about in fast cars. As for ex-F1 star Eddie Jordan and journalist Rory Reid, well, who cares what they do in the show. They’re not interesting.

Chris Evans has also claimed The Stig, a Clarkson creation, for himself. Chances are he will only do the lap times and none of the shenanigans he got up to in the old Top Gear. The new TG is just too crowded for The Stig to really shine. The show will return on BBC on May 8.
