Even testing prototypes need fuel, right? And when you just so happen to be the guy at the next pump, the most obvious thing to do is start snapping some pictures! The next generation Porsche Boxster has been caught refueling somewhere in Germany without even a hint of camouflage!

The next Boxster will get a newly styled convertible cockpit and stronger, but also more fuel-efficient engines from 270 hp. There are also rumors saying the next Boxster will get a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine under the hood. There will also be center-mounted exhaust pipes like the current Boxster and restyled side mirrors.

We also have to remind you that the next Boxster will be longer in order to make room for the next “baby Boxster.” This baby will need to sit on the bottom of the Porsche lineup, so the bigger Boxster will indeed need to become bigger, or longer in this case.

Expect the official debut sometime in 2011.

Now that Citroen has unveiled the official details on the new DS4, there are rumors about a more powerful version that will take on models like Volkswagen Golf R and Renaultsport Mégane RS. The new Citroen DS4, rumored to be called Racing will be revealed in 2013.

Like with the DS3-Racing, the future model will feature a two-tone exterior and on the interior racing seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. There will also be the carbon finish on the front bumper, lower body trim and wing extensions, whilst large 18” alloy wheels, chrome door handles and a chrome-finished exhaust system.

Under the hood Citroen will place the same engine used in the Peugeot RCZ – a 1.6 THP engine that delivers 200 HP. There are also rumors about a hybrid version that will combine a 1.6-liter engine driving the front wheels and a 95bhp electric motor that powers the rears.

After a first “unveiling” video of the BMW 1-Series M Coupe, the guys from Bimmerfile have rendered the future car, and we have to admit it looks quite impressive. In fact the rendering only puts together parts from the recently launched video.

The 1-series M will probably follow along the engine lines of the 135i producing 306hp. It will feature a central duct, brake air ducts, an additional two ducts on the bonnet, two air intakes on the front wings for a typical M look, and the bar that incorporates the side indicator light. It will also have widened fenders, integrated duckbill trunk spoiler, upgraded M wheels, and large brakes with cross-drilled rotors. And how about a a carbon fiber roof ? Is this too much for an entry-level M car? We think not!

Things sure have a way of coming full circle, don’t they?

It wasn’t that long ago when Saab was teetering perilously close to getting sent to the chopping block until a last minute intervention by Spyker not only gave Saab a new lease on life, but an opportunity to make things right again.

Now that Saab is finally on the right track, it doesn’t surprise us that design proposals bearing the Saab badge have been coming out left and right, with the latest one done by Spanish designer, Jorge Martí Vidal.

Vidal’s work is all kinds of sexy, if we do say so ourselves. Calling it ‘Boreas’ as a reference to the Greek God of the North Wind – yeah, we’re nerds too – the design features some pretty awesome curves coupled with a shiny pearl exterior paint that ironically accentuates the overall simplistic look of the concept.

Truth be told, Vidal’s work merits a pair of thumbs up and, if Saab does want to get back in the good graces of their customers, then they can’t do any better than having this car see the production line. Sure, that’s still unlikely to happen, but we’re just saying Vidal’s design is a sure winner.

Toyota got a lot of the spotlight when they first started talking about their version of the FT-86 because, well, they were the first ones of the Toyota/Subaru partnership to offer any details. Now, however, Subaru seems to be slipping in there to reveal a – some might call- better version of the FT-86. This version was just caught testing in Death Valley and, although little is known about the Subaru FT-86, we are liking the aggressive design the two door coupe is sporting.

The Subaru FT-86 will utilize a horizontal 2.0-liter four-cylinder motor customized with some modifications and turbocharging to produce around 250 horsepower. It will sit on a revised Legacy platform and will utilize the Impreza’s rear suspension. What may be a little surprising to Subaru fans is that this vehicle will not be coming in AWD as popular Subaru cars do. This model will be a rear wheel drive car, with no conversion offered.

In terms of design, the Subaru FT-86 will further differentiate itself from its Toyota brethren by changing up the grilles, bumpers, and wheels. A big hood scoop is visible in these spy shots possibly making room for a top-mount intercooler. Some gold rims may also add to the flare of the Subaru.

Expect the Subaru FT-86 to officially show its pretty little face sometime in November 2011.

The next generation Porsche Boxster is getting revealed more and more each day. The car is currently under intense testings before the official debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

The next generation Boxster will feature center-mounted exhaust pipes like the current Boxster and restyled side mirrors. Take a look at the Panamera and you’ll be able to see the general idea for the exterior of the Boxster. The Boxster may take the center stack feature from the Panamera as well.

Under the hood the Boxster will use a slightly revised version of the 310-HP 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine, but rumors suggest that it might receive an advanced four-cylinder engine making about as much horsepower as the current 2.9-liter six (255). This new engine is rumored to debut in the new base-level Boxster. And like the 918 SPyder, the new Boxtser may also receive a hybrid version.

The 2012 Porsche Boxster will be built on a platform that is around 173 inches longer than the current one. This lengthening is vital to the lineup if Porsche wants to be able to squeeze in the future baby Boxster.

Bentley is all about elegance and luxury, and those that know the name well understand that the brand takes good care of its reputation as one of the auto industry’s most esteemed car brands.

If you’re a young designer looking to make a name for yourself, creating renderings should serve as a good way to not only hone your skills, but also – if they’re good enough – to get some attention for your work.

Alexander Kotlyarevsky’s rendering of this Bentley R-Type certainly fits that bill. Keeping true to the British marquee’s reputation as a luxury automaker, Kotlyarevsky’s rendering comes with an elegant styling that’s also infused with some aggressive, modern touches that highlight the concept’s classic yet modern look.

More than the aesthetics, the young designer also gave this concept quite a powertrain featuring an 8.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces a mind-boggling 800 horsepower and 1600 Nm of torque with a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 240 mph.

Judging the book by its cover, we give a lot of credit to Kotlyarevsky for the cutting-edge look of the R-Type concept. It’s certainly something we’d endorse to the folks over at Bentley.

The Murcielago’s future replacement went testing again. This time, the Lamborghini Jota was out on the German autobahn, and, as usual, there was a lucky guy hanging out to catch it and bring us beautiful footage of the sports car. We’ve already seen the first teaser image of the future supercar, but having a video will entertain us for that much longer until the Paris Auto Show where we hope we’ll get the car’s official details.

It’s already been reported that the Jota will be shorter and weigh about 300lbs. less than the Murcielago. It will be built on a new carbon-fiber tub and will use as much aluminum and carbon fiber as possible to reduce weight. The Jota will hit a top speed of 230mph and will sit on new 21″ wheels over upgraded Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. It will also come with Audi’s torque vectoring technology which offers even better handling.

In the midst of all of these fiery stories we’ve scattered about in the past couple of weeks, we finally get to write something good about the Ferrari 458 Italia. The 458 range is set to be expanded with two new models: the GTS Spider version coming in the spring of 2011 and the Scuderia, the sportier version, shortly thereafter. Today we will focus on the GTS version.

Despite previous rumors suggesting the Spider version would be offered with a fabric roof, it seems that the future 458 Italia Spider model will actually be getting a glass roof that flips upright electrically and disappears behind the seats. This is being done to ensure the car will be even more comfortable.

Under the hood the 458 Spider will use the same 4.5 Liter V8 engine equipped with the traditional Ferrari flat crankshaft as the coupe version. The unit produces 570 HP at a rather high 9000 RPM and sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 202 MPH.

We can only hope that Ferrari will solve the fire problem by next spring.

Who would have imagined that such a car would come from such a non-car place. Denmark might be a fantastic country to live in, with its low crime rates and very uncorrupt government, but nobody could have dreamed of them making a supercar, let alone a machine with 1104 horsepower.

That power number puts the new Zenvo ST1 in the same ranks as the Bugatti Veyron and the Koenigsegg CCXR. Amazingly, many have still not heard of this brilliant machine. The concept has been around for a decade and it finally got the green light for production in 2005. In those five years, not many news stories have been published around the ST1. Somebody needs to hire a new marketing team.

Creating that massive amount of power is a 7.0-liter supercharged V8 that will put out 103 more horsepower than the Veyron and 1,050 pound-feet of torque. The top speed is limited to 233 miles per hour and it’ll hit 60mph in just three seconds. Only fifteen ST1 examples will be made for the wealthy people that can afford them.

After only two years after the unveiling of the facelift version, Audi is bringing the next generation A6. Of course, if we take a closer look at the automotive industry, this decision should come as no surprise. Expect the new Audi A6 to make its world debut at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. Sales in the USA will begin in late 2011.

The new A6 sedan will adopt a design that has yet to be seen on the A6 model. The design choice is that of the new A7 Sportback. Not only will the A6 be receiving the A7’s design, but it will also be built on a conventional steel chassis that uses numerous aluminum parts to keep the overall weight down. The standard suspension will use traditional steel coil springs, while an optional air suspension will also be available.

Under the hood, Audi will place a fully revamped powertrain lineup that could consist of all forced-induction engines. There will be a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder as the base engine, while the top version will get a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8.

The list of standard options will include a touchpad-entry navigation system, live Google, lane-keeping assist, active cruise control with follow-to-stop, and autonomous emergency braking.

If you’re trying to make some sense of BMW, you’re going to be at it for awhile. The German automaker has been creating cars that are a bit puzzling to the common person, like the X6 or the 5-Series GT. Yet, nothing quite says insane like the new X3 M and pretty soon, there will be a new version based on the F25 X3.

When we take a closer look at the line of BMW SUVs, it makes the most sense to use the X3, rather than the X5. The small SUV only weighs 3971 pounds, far less than the much larger X5. That means that the X3 should stop, corner, and accelerate much better, not to mention it should get better fuel economy as well. In the world of the power to weight ratio, the X3 M takes the cake.

Powering the newest M machine will likely be the N55 turbocharged six-cylinder. If you’ve been paying attention to the automotive world as of late, you will have realized that the N55 is the same motor that is being used for the new M3. Not to mention that motor is already being used in the X3. The motor will be attached to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Once the X3 M is on the road, we would expect it to be able to hit 60 miles per hour in just five or six seconds. The motor will likely produce around 420 horsepower, which is good enough. After all, BMW can’t give the X3 M more power than the X5. The corners will be where the car outperforms its bigger rivals though. It’s lower to the ground, smaller, and will have fat tires.

Some might say that this sort of machine makes no sense whatsoever. We say that BMW can make whatever they want, and a high-performance X3 sounds good to us.

Patiently waiting for the next generation BMW 1-Series to debut, we know we probably won’t be seeing it over on this side of the pond. However, that won’t stop us from taking notice of the interesting changes the BMW will undergo.

The first, and most obvious changes, will appear on the exterior of the vehicle. Well, we probably shouldn’t say “most obvious” considering the redesigned bodystyle is anything, but extravagant. The biggest changes will be made under the hood as BMW will be offering a wide range of engines, including turbo-petrol engines with three or four cylinders. However, the BMW 1-Series will remain a RWD vehicle built on the same L7 platform as the 3-Series.

The entry level models will get 1.2 and 1.5 liter engines with power outputs ranging from 70 to 184 HP. Next to it there will be a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 204 HP and 238 HP and a range of three-cylinder engines with outputs ranging from 95 to 177 HP. The top version will still get the six-cylinder N55 Twin-Scroll engine.

The first hatchback version will be revealed in early 2011, and it will be followed by both coupe and convertible versions.

At the Nurburgring Nordshleife Public day, the awe inspiring SLR Stirling Moss edition turned up to do a lap or two of the infamous Nordschleife, a very noble cause considering the many dangers on the Northloop, and the whopping 750k euro price tag.

The car was inspired by the 1955 300 SLR that Moss guided to the Mille Miglia record of ten hours & seven minutes and 48 seconds.

The power unit consists of a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 from the SLR 722 edition, meaning there’s a whopping 641bhp and 605lb ft, taking the speedster to 62mph in sub 3.5sec and onto a Vmax of 217mph.

The performance is a level above that of the rest of the Mercedes McLaren range thanks to a handy weight loss regime, including a carbon fiber body shedding approximately 200kg from the Standard SLR.

Owners will be able to personally compare the two, as the 75 Stirling Moss editions are only available to current SLR owners.

It rounds off production of the SLR – the best selling supercar ever, at around 1700 units.

It’s also the end of the McMerc supercar partnership – the Germans are going their own way with the SLS and McLaren is making its first independent car since the legendary F1 in the form of the MP4-12C.

The Range Rover Evoque won’t be released out on the market until next year, but it’s already catching a lot of attention from anyone who’s ever caught the car making test rounds on the streets.

This particular white beauty was caught doing the rounds in London a few days ago, and, by goodness, the Evoque is gorgeous. From what we’ve heard, this particular Evoque was out on the road filming a commercial, although if you ask us, we don’t think that releasing an advert for Range Rover’s new pride and joy would be all that needed, especially considering that its launch back in July already drew it a ton of positive feedback.

Then again, there’s nothing wrong with covering your bases, either. And knowing how the brand is trying be aggressive in promoting not only the Evoque, but their entire brand portfolio, we’re not surprised that the fellas over at Land Rover are doing all they can to aggressively bring the Evoque into the public consciousness.

But since this video of still shots is what we have at this point, we’re going to play it as often as we can and wait for the day when the SUV officially goes on sale, at which time, our bank accounts would be ready enough to support the financial blow of scooping one up for ourselves.

As we’re sure you know by know, Toyota and Subaru are working on a new sports car that each will get a chance to work into their own unique version. The Toyota version has been talked about frequently and will be called the FT-86. As for Subaru’s version, little has been revealed. Of course, that doesn’t mean we can’t get awesome renderings of the new sportscar.

The car will likely sit on a revised Legacy platform with the Impreza’s rear suspension. Under the hood will be Subaru’s horizontal 2.0-liter four-cylinder motor with around 250 horsepower. That is a decent sized power increase over the Toyota version, due to modifications and turbocharging.

The design of the car is far more aggressive than its Toyota brother. The car will have gold rims and a big hood scoop. Besides that though, there shouldn’t a whole lot of change in the bodywork. The only real difference will be the grilles, bumpers, and wheels.

The car will likely be out around 2013 for a price of $25,000. Due to cost reasons, the car won’t feature Subaru’s all-wheel drive system.

Like all Audi models, the A1 will be getting an S version. Recently, the S1 was caught testing and, we have to say, it looks great. The car will be fighting with the Mini Cooper JCW, Fiat 500 Abarth SS, and the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA.

The S1 will get an amped up version of the 1.4-liter TSI four-cylinder with 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. That power output might be a bit low compared to the competition, but the Audi has a few tricks up its sleeve. The car will get a rear-biased Quattro setup with a seven-speed S-Tronic twin-clutch transmission and a lowered and stiffened suspension.

We expect the car to be able to hit 60 miles per hour in six or so seconds and be able to get around 35 miles per gallon. The top speed will be limited to 155 mph like most German machines.

The car looks very aggressive compared to the normal A1. The fender flares have been enlarged and there are 19-inch alloy wheels. At the front there is a low splitter, deep air intakes, and LED daytime running lights.

The S1 should cost around £25,000.

After a tough and tumultuous trip down the economy spiral, automakers are finally starting to get back on their feet. Of course, that is evident in the number of automakers that are now announcing their big plans for the coming years. We’ve already heard from names such as Porsche and Lincoln. Even little Scion has gotten involved in the action. Now it’s Tesla’s turn in the spotlight as they broadcast their future plans.

Tesla future plans include a Model S sedan, a successor for the current Roadster, and a crossover. Of course the coolest model, until further notice, is the Roadster model which we’ll just call Model R (just because the sedan will be called Model S).

Like with the future sedan, the Model S will be offered with a choice of three possible battery packs, the best of which will have a range of 300 miles. The current Roadster develops a total of 248 HP and sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, but the next generation will be lighter, so we expect big improvements when it comes to performance.

The current generation Roadster will go out of the production in December of 2011, its production line being replaced by the Model S. The cars replacement will not arrive until late 2012, as a 2013 model.

Our friends over at Autosblog.fr received this image of what looks to be the new 2012 Renault Clio 4. This image comes despite the fact that there’s been no official confirmation from Renault on whether it’s true.

Supposing that this image is in fact that of the new Clio 4, the car is a fresh take from what we’ve seen of the supposedly new vehicle in the past. For one, this image of the Clio 4 comes with a number of new designs and features, including redesigned headlights, the presence of door handles – yeah, cars need those, by the way – a new set of wheels, and an overall more aggressive approach.

Like we said, Renault hasn’t come out with any official announcement on whether this is really the new Clio. But if this is the real deal, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it in the flesh really soon. And if we’re betting people, we’d put some chips down on this hatchback making some sort of appearance at the brand’s hometown auto event, the Paris Motor Show, which, in case you didn’t know, will open its doors at the end of September.

Until then, we’re definitely going to keep all of you updated when something more definite comes up.

After finally seeing what the A7 Sportback model looked like, people have already started thinking ahead as to what the future RS version will bring. This rendering is from a guy who imagined it with an RS4 chin, RS5 grille, rotor 5-spoke RS style wheels, and chrome mirrors. Add Audi’s usual Sprint Blue exterior color for the RS models and you will be that much closer to visualizing what the future may hold. The new RS model is expected to debut in 2011.

The A7 Sportback will hit the streets with a 2.8 FSI engine producing 201hp and 280Nm, a 3.0 TFSI engine that produces 296hp and 440Nm, a 3.0 TDI producing 210hp and 400Nm, and a 3.0 TDI producing 242hp and 500Nm. However, for the RS version Audi will bring a new 4.0T FSI twin turbo V8 engine. There are also rumors about a 580bhp version of Audi’s naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine in combination with the firm’s new seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
