It's already been a year since Pokétwo was originally created, and I can't believe the incredible success we've reached throughout this time. During this year, you guys:

• Ran over 1.5 billion commands
• Caught over 350 million pokémon
• Made over 6 million trades, auctions, and market transactions
• Added Pokétwo in over 800,000 servers, keeping it in over 400,000
• Played so hard that the bot went down over 100 times

And I can't thank you guys enough for your continued support and enthusiasm.

Today, we're glad to bring you some of the first big updates we've had in a while, starting with...


‎Generation 8 (Galar) Pokémon

This has been requested ever since the bot came out and, thanks to the work of many people, is finally here! Special thanks to @Anoea#3441, @Cinnabun#5900, @Haltfire302#9839, @Alkinus#3747 for working on the shiny recoloring, @gazplum#3889 and @keelay#3500 for helping me load the new data into the bot, and the entire staff team for contributing as well.

Note that this is still an initial release that's missing some data. More data will be filled in later, as we figure it out. For example, some Generation 8 forms, like Galarians, are supported and will spawn naturally, but some won't spawn yet—we've added some more details to the `p!pokedex <pokemon>` command for this.


Catching Quests

We're starting to add Quests to the bot, giving you some more things to do and opportunities to earn Pokécoins. Today, we're adding a couple permanent quests regarding catching Pokémon from each region. Do **`p!quests`** to check them out! You'll also have the opportunity to earn special badges when you complete them.

In the future, we'll be adding rotating daily/weekly quests as well, so stay tuned!


Limited-time Event Pokémon

For the next week, we'll have two limited-time event pokémon to celebrate Pokétwo's birthday and the release of Generation 8: Shadow Mewtwo and Anniversary Wooloo. Both will spawn naturally for the next week and can also be redeemed. The special Wooloo will be exclusive to this event, and will not be obtainable any time after. Shadow Mewtwo may appear in later events.
